Esteban J Guerra is a Cuban-American visual artist working in illustration as well as maintaining an independent artistic practice. Creating art is the way he has found to best connect with the world around him. He is driven to recreate the world in an uplifting manner; bringing beauty, positivity, and empowerment to those who experience his work.
His background includes working in many varied mediums. Esteban believes that his range of creative possibilities has expanded with the addition of digital expression and collage, adding to his mastery of the more traditional mediums of oil, watercolor, acrylic, charcoal and pencil. He is always open to new ways of expression and experimenting with new techniques.
Esteban’s professional successes include illustrations for editorial outlets which include
GQ , The Nation, and The Indypendent along with various children’s books. He was selected to illustrate for the 2020 Oregon Census Campaign by Dancing Heart Consulting and also enjoyed drawing live portraiture at events for Bacardi Team Enterprise. He shows his paintings and art pieces at various galleries in group and solo exhibitions.
Esteban lives and works in New York City, where he thrives among the multitude of cultural and creative inspiration.
